    Forbes (except in North America, in most countries it's essentially outsourced or joint‑venture) basically operates in two ways: one, they ask you to fill their list – they'll give you a spot for free, but if you pay they sell you a PR package; the other, you buy a package outright and they give you the placement after payment, depending on each country's style… In the early days it was still workable, but in recent years it’s become a reverse signal… Hurun, being less international, is a bit more cautious overall, though they also have sponsorship packages. I’ve never attended any of their events; a colleague picked up a plaque and now I don’t know where it is 😛 It feels like the feng shui of both is not very good.
