A while back, I saw @Litebeam_xyz on @virtuals_io and didn't expect the token price to surge so dramatically. After research, I feel it is targeting a layer that AI agents cannot avoid once truly deployed:

Previously, OpenRouter demonstrated a clear logic: as models increase, users no longer need to integrate, price‑compare, and settle each one individually; they only need a unified entry point.
Litebeam applies this logic to AI agents. OpenRouter routes models, while Litebeam routes the microservices that agents need to call when executing tasks.
Search, data, code, payments, SaaS, images, audio, on‑chain tools—if each agent had to independently integrate APIs, manage keys, compare prices, and control budgets for these capabilities, it would be infeasible.
Thus its core is simple:
One MCP connection, every microservice.
This direction aligns closely with current AI infra discussions.
@karpathy has consistently emphasized that AI progress will increasingly depend on scaffolding, tool use, routing, and orchestration surrounding models.
@a16z is also continuously discussing infrastructure such as MCP, context layer, agent identity/permissioning, and payment.
Because once an agent transitions from a chatbot to an economic participant that truly executes tasks, it needs more than a brain—it requires stable hands and feet to invoke external services.
Currently, Litebeam offers a single MCP connection with real‑time routing across providers, selecting more suitable services based on price, latency, and reputation, while integrating USDC settlement, budget control, and on‑chain audit on Base.
What attracts me is the flywheel:
more agent calls
→ more real service quality data
→ vendor reputation becomes more accurate
→ routing effectiveness improves
→ more agent onboarding
Currently, @Base and @virtuals_io have publicly supported it, and there is collaboration with @reppo and @officialbunnyos; the project's metrics show growth in routed calls, active agents, and live services.
Additionally, the trader @theveeman, who recently bought $LBM after $ANSEM yielded huge gains (the man in FOMO trending #5), also wrote purchase reasons.
Litebeam is also bringing in @daytonaio as an AI agent security layer. After reviewing Litebeam's technology, Daytona provided grant + partnership support, which is a significant external validation for an early first‑mover infra.

It's still early, so volatility will certainly be high. But if the agent economy truly takes off, service discovery, routing, payment, and reputation layers will be crucial foundational positions.
