Gold has seen such a tremendous outlier to the upside in terms of volatility that a deep correction wouldn't be strange. This can take months to years. Even if this goes to $3,200-3,500, it's still super bullish on the longer timeframes and scales. However, if that happens, it provides such a long area of rotation of capital towards #Bitcoin and #Crypto that it reminds me of the 2017 period and cycle that we're likely going to witness.

Closed out the week with $3,806 in realized options profit. Here’s exactly what I did and why. The strategy: sell covered calls and cash secured puts on assets I already own or want to own. Collect premium upfront. Let time decay work in my favor. The trades this week: $IBIT $45 calls — sold 27 contracts when IV was elevated. $IBIT was at $38. The $45 strike was 18% out of the money. Collected $1,512. Bought back at $0.32-0.33 for $622 in profit. $MSTR $170 call — sold into elevated volatility with $MSTR at $126. $170 strike was 35% out of the money. Collected $280. Closed at $1.60 for $120 profit. $MSTR $95 put — still open. Sold 6 contracts at $4.75 when $MSTR was near its intraday low. $2,850 collected. Breakeven is $90.25. $MSTR would need to crash through its 52-week low AND fall another 12% before I’m in trouble. When $VIX is elevated, option premiums are fat. Sellers get paid more. I’m not predicting direction. I’m collecting inflated premium and letting theta decay grind the position to profit every single day. The key rules: 1. Only sell 35-50 DTE options on assets I own or want to own. 2. Strike prices far out of the money (20-35% buffer). 3. Close at or around 50% profit, if price movement allows to a quick gain.
