RE Protocol just opened governance to the public, launching their token on June 18th with $600 million in TVL and touching $1 billion shortly after. Andy says "It's a good company. It's a good CEO. They've done an incredible job managing their launch." "They're going to figure out the economics. They're going to figure out how to redistribute a lot of the value back to the token."

I just learned something and felt “Ah!” 😂 Actually, “insurance companies” also need someone to take on the risk, which is called Reinsurance (ประกันภัยต่อ). This market is huge, valued at over $700B What interests us is that Re is bringing this market onto the blockchain, making stablecoins not just for parking funds or DeFi, but capable of becoming capital that supports real-world insurance businesses Currently, Re has already covered insurance premiums exceeding $500M+, with nearly 1 million policyholders, and $RE is a Governance Token used for voting on the protocol’s direction We like the idea of connecting the crypto world with the real economy; it will be interesting to see how far it can grow 👀✨ #RE $RE

Many people may not know... @re is bringing the Reinsurance market (reinsurance) worth over 700,000 million dollars onto the Blockchain So why is it interesting? In the past, Stablecoins have mainly been used to store funds, lend, or engage in DeFi But #Re uses Stablecoins as "capital" to support real‑world reinsurance businesses, with system returns coming from insurance premiums rather than minting new tokens Simply put, crypto money is being linked to the real economy Re’s system has three main assets 🟢 reUSD Focused on lower risk Suitable for those who want to preserve principal while earning system returns 🟠 reUSDe Accepts higher risk Offers the chance for higher returns from reinsurance business 🔵 $RE Governance token of the protocol Used for staking and voting to set system direction Does not directly earn returns from the insurance business What we find interesting is not just the APY numbers But that Stablecoins are taking on a new role, shifting from a store‑of‑value asset to "capital" that supports real businesses on the blockchain Historically, the reinsurance market has been open only to large players, but Re is lowering the barrier to entry by bringing this market on‑chain.

Normally when we hear Stablecoin, we only think of a stable coin to park funds. But after reading about @re / $RE, its perspective is more interesting. It tries to connect the huge reinsurance market, about $700B, with the on-chain world. What I like is that the risk is not directly tied to crypto prices. Reinsurance deals with real risks such as disasters, accidents, various damages. BTC may go up or down, These risks still occur in the real world. $RE is the governance token of the Re Protocol, used for system governance and decision making, It doesn’t mean you have to buy it, but it’s a project worth studying because it shows on-chain capital can connect to real markets more than expected. #RE $RE

The RE protocol connects reinsurance with on-chain capital, and the risk is unrelated to the crypto market.

I just realized that insurance companies also have to insure themselves 😂 At first I was very confused, so I kept reading and found out it's called Reinsurance (insurance of insurance). Simply put, if an insurance company takes on too much risk, it buys reinsurance from another company to help spread the risk. What surprised me is that this business is valued at over $700,000 million (i.e., $700 billion). Then I came across the project @re that is trying to connect this business with the Blockchain world. I personally like this idea because it's not just creating a token out of thin air, but trying to connect on-chain money with real existing businesses. The more I read, the more I feel that Crypto is no longer just for speculative trading, but is gradually becoming part of the real economy. How far it can go remains to be seen, but I think this is another project with a very interesting idea. Execution is always much trickier than theory, but one trade that works repeatedly is to short the post-TGE squeeze of a new coin $RE is the most recent example of that dynamic It's almost a physical law of crypto: immediately after the TGE is when you both have the lowest float on the token, as well as the most attention, volume, and energy ready to go into it Highest demand + lowest float = squeeze As time goes by, these 2 forces go in the opposite direction, because the attention/demand rapidly decreases (check the volume bars trending to zero), and the float increases due to unlocks Which mechanically leads to price endlessly bleeding. This dynamic is what we should expect for $SPCX too. The main risk with this strategy is that in crypto, some tokens are designed as pure scam coins, and they don't follow these 'physical laws' at all. You don't want to be caught shorting these tokens...

After a new coin's TGE, demand falls and supply rises, causing a continued price decline; the author recommends shorting.
