I went to look up information. The summary is that P’Pee went to have a meal at a friend’s restaurant, the total amount was about 30,000 Baht, and another friend suggested using Jupiter for payment because they wanted to use the $200 cashback promo

There are three parties involved:

A: That friend paid about $1,000 through Jupiter, received the cashback, and that was it—no issues.

B: P’Pee paid an additional 1,200 Baht through Jupiter for take‑out food. In the end, P’Pee was not blocked, but the cashback was blocked.

C: The restaurant owner’s merchant account was flagged and blocked.

The restaurant uses the app “ถุงเงิน” (Tung Ngern), which is an app for merchants to receive payments via QR code. It is not just a simple payment app; it also consolidates accounting and receives settlement amounts in a lump sum instead of multiple small incoming transactions. Therefore, if there are incoming transactions that look abnormal or are perceived as having money‑laundering risk, the merchant account may be flagged or blocked.

About a week after the payment day, the restaurant was banned in the Tung Ngern app used for that day's transactions.

Initially they called the number in the app, but the staff said they did not know the reason for the ban and instructed them to contact Bangkok Bank via email.

Approximately an hour later, the bank called back.
