If you or anyone has ever tried to build custody systems like what XRP has; built compliant tools with high security, built custody with auditing and regulation, you would know how very complicated, time consuming and high risk it is.

Ripple custody, allows companies wishing to build digital asset infrastructure to outsource it all, we’re talking millions of dollars in costs to keep these systems maintained.

It’s like a company like Walmart building its own cell towers to provide phones for staff. You don’t, and that’s the same reason why Walmart will never use the XRPL or ETH network directly.

Furthermore, certifications like Iso20022/27001, SOCII, CFT, AML, etc. are not grants to foundations or networks; they are granted to companies that have enterprise‑grade capability.

That’s why Ripple, XRP, and XRPL are so special and well‑placed.

Since Ripple is involved, you'll likely see them push for an issuance of said token on XRPL as well.

The issuance of tokens is easy but how to make use of them?

1️⃣) XRP Ledger DEX
-> new order book pairs
-> new AMM pool pairs

2️⃣) Lending (upcoming)
-> borrowing against it
-> lending for yield

3️⃣) Payments
-> shopping

How is XRP involved? 🧐

- Every transaction on the XRP blockchain burns fees in XRP.

- Every account (🥸 or 🤖 or 👽) holding OUSD on their account needs to lock up XRP for the incremental reserve.

- New AMM pools and order book pairs will emerge:
-> XRP/OUSD
-> RLUSD/OUSD

To improve conversion rates, XRP will be used via auto-bridging to close the liquidity gap between OUSD and the long tail of assets that already exist.
