Yes, this plays a major role. Actually, @Aptos built something that hides transaction amounts, called Confidential Assets (CA). The amount sent is hidden, but all other metadata remains transparent. I think this can solve that problem, and we need more blockchains to offer such hidden-amount transactions.

I can understand this mindset in the case of Aptos. (Though I am DCAing approx. 40,000 Aptos myself daily.) You see a coin underperform, 3 years of down only and no action is being taken + no public announcement or acknowledgment that the tokenomic model has failed. The lack of action to rectify sends the wrong message to community & investors alike. It sends the message that the team does not care about token price, token liquidity depth or value accrual to the token. One of the worst things you can do in the crypto space. This is because token value accrual is the flywheel for everything in crypto: community, liquidity, developer growth, attracting new users, self-sustainability of the chain, the network effect - it is the centrepiece of the entire decentralised network and the beating heart of its economy. You see $SUI the most like-for-like product outperform Aptos over 20x along the Journey starting at cents when you were $20. Today 1 SUI > 1 APT. Is SUI superior tech? No. Does it have a better technical team? No. Does it have a better, more engaged and active CEO? No. Does it have more tokenised assets? No. Does it have more Stablecoin TVL? No. Does it have more 24h App Income? No. Are its rails more integrated across key players like major CEXs, Aave, Uni? No. Does it have a CEO on CFTC subcomittee for Digital Assets? No. Does SUI have sub 50ms speeds? No. Does $SUI have a fixed cap supply? Yes. Does $SUI have more 24h Chain Fees accruing back to the token value? Yes. Such an easy fix to regain community and investor confidence and beat $SUI in the one segment they are dominating Aptos, which is then translating or will translate into winning over the long term. Why do I DCA then at these prices if I think this way? Because I am betting big that the guys at Aptos are smart and that they will fix this. If I am right and they fix the tokenomics, that will get priced in quick and getting Aptos sub $1 will become a pipe dream.
