The TLDR is that someone found unauthorised use of the Perplexity account and then found the extension was called "Bless". It was injecting prompts into Perplexity
It also had permission on chatgpt too.
Note there isn't really direct causal link between bless and this unauthorized use but its pretty damning. Either way stay safe and audit these things carefully. My exp with this stuff is that they are quite opaque.

Idle internet bandwidth becoming an input for data collection is a simple pitch, but durability depends on data quality, buyer demand, and whether rewards still make sense after early incentives cool.
