According to SolanaFloor, token holders of the Solana project Ranger Finance voted through on-chain governance to liquidate the project and withdraw approximately 5.04 million USDC from the treasury and liquidity pools to return to RNGR holders. The proposal states that the team engaged in significant misrepresentation before fundraising. ICYMI: $RNGR Tokenholders voted to liquidate @ranger_finance last week in a rare example of investors using onchain governance to unwind a project and return treasury funds, just two months after the token launched.

The decision follows a proposal introduced on March 3 by a group of $RNGR holders who alleged the team made material misrepresentations about the business prior to its fundraise.

The proposal passed, with 5,047,250 $USDC removed from Ranger’s treasury and liquidity pool to be distributed among $RNGR tokenholders.

Ranger originally launched its token using @MetaDAOProject's futarchy based governance system, a model designed to allow markets to guide governance decisions.
