suiplay just cancelled all incomplete pre-orders.
allegedly, over 3k nft holders affected. the issue?
fees reported went as high as 50%.
many are calling it a trap.
so naturally, the questions are:
- why not let users handle shipping on their own timeline?
- why structure the tasks this way?
- why delay the $PLAY airdrop?
now here’s the part people aren’t talking about:
$PLAY launches in a few months.
if suiplay wants real ecosystem traction at TGE,
they need consoles in actual hands.
real usage > speculative hype.
forcing completion might have been their way of filtering for committed users.
early pre-orders reported received:
~$200 worth of tokens per mythic NFT a year ago.
a full refund in 10 buisness days after cancelation. which, objectively, isn’t terrible.
but it wasn’t what people expected either.
this feels less like a scam,
and more like a misaligned incentive design.
execution matters.
especially when trust is involved.
