We rated osETH a B on March 20. The team disagreed, submitted a PR with on-chain evidence and public docs. We reviewed it. The grade moved to BB+.
What changed:
Security went from BB to BBB. Turns out they have automated circuit breakers (KeeperRewards.sol caps osETH APY on-chain) and internal monitoring dashboards we hadn't verified. Incident response also had documented precedent through two governance proposals.
Strategy went from BB+ to A. Between July and August 2025, osETH processed 33% of TVL in redemptions without issues. They also recovered from the Balancer hack in Nov 2025 and rebuilt liquidity on Fluid by January. Seven of eleven oracle operators hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type II certs.
Operations went from CCC to CCC+. Dual approval governance lets vault owners individually veto upgrades. Treasury runway over 24 months.
