    I think a lot of people are misunderstanding this. $ICP is simply assigning existing node machines to new subnets, it isn't adding new hardware, so this creates zero additional inflation. Right now, a little over 700 nodes are assigned to subnets, while the network has 1,700+ node machines. That means around 1,000 existing nodes can still be assigned or replace the ones that break. The increase in block production is a direct consequence of ICP's architecture. Each subnet is producing blocks in parallel. As more subnets are added, the network's capacity and total blocks per second scale alongside them. Double the number of subnets, and you double network throughput. It's a horizontally scalable architecture built to support internet scale applications fully onchain.
