I don’t think there’s anything wrong with holding $IBIT instead of actual $BTC for the average person.
It’s unrealistic to expect everyone to be technically savvy enough to buy Bitcoin on chain and move it to cold storage. There’s virtually zero chance the average investor is going to do that.
Most people struggle to remember their online banking password, let alone securely manage a seed phrase for a cold wallet.
Think about it for literally 60 seconds, and you'll come to the same conclusion.
