How was Pi2Day?

To be honest, for people who had already thought carefully about what might happen, it was neither surprising nor disappointing.

I'm not saying, "See? I was right."

Honestly, I don't think that matters. The mood around Pi is still very negative, and even if I happened to predict something correctly, I don't see any value in celebrating that.

The reason I'm writing this is because, when I read posts on X, it feels like almost no one really understands the project's timeline.

Many people build up unrealistic expectations, and when those expectations aren't met, they end up disappointed and start complaining.

I just think that's unfortunate.

For a long time, I've been saying that Pi's KYC would eventually be used by outside companies. I've also said that many Pi nodes would be used more for AI-related work than for validating the blockchain ledger.

So the real question was never if it would happen. The important question was when and how those updates would begin.

Before Pi2Day, I said that Pi DEX and the Launchpad probably would not be released yet. I also said there would most likely be no update designed to create a short-term price pump, even though many influencers expected one. I think many of them don't really understand the project's timeline.

What we saw on this Pi2Day was something different. The Core Team finally introduced the one of the major updates they have been preparing for a long time.

These updates have little to do with Pi's short-term price, and more than 90% of Pioneers probably don't fully understand their importance yet.

But if you look at the bigger picture, these were very important updates for Pi's future.
