The shutdown will be gradual, with the first step to
- disable Cross-chain Transfer functionality
- disable Liquidity deposits
- discontinue Reward Programs (Liquidity Incentives and TOKI Points)
However, we promise and commit not to leave our community out in the cold. Although the token will not be launched, your contributions will be reimbursed in the form of a buyback:
- Liquidity Incentives (TOKI Rewards) Buyback
- Community Incentives (TOKI Points) Buyback
Details of the buyback will be announced next week.
While the TOKI cross-chain bridge is coming to an end, Datachain will continue to build core interoperability infrastructure for institutions, in pursuit of the original vision shared with TOKI.

$TOKI Finance Announces Sunset of Its Cross-Chain Bridge🚨
The team behind @tokifinance has officially announced the discontinuation of its cross-chain bridge. The service will cease operations by the end of January 2026 due to significant regulatory and auditing challenges in Japan.
Following a financial audit of Datachain and its parent company Speee, TOKI was classified as a consolidated entity — a situation that would require unsustainable resources to maintain. In order to fully separate from the Speee Group, the project can no longer continue without Datachain's support, leading to this difficult decision.
Key dates for users:
- January 29, 2026 (23:59 UTC) — Transfers and deposits will be disabled
- January 30, 2026 — Final distribution of TOKI Rewards & Points
- February 6, 2026 (TBD) — Buyback program for existing TOKI Points & Rewards begins
- March 5, 2026 — Buyback ends and the user interface will be closed
Liquidity providers are reminded that smart contracts will remain active, allowing direct withdrawal of funds even after the UI is shut down. Detailed instructions for the buyback program will be published on January 29.
The TOKI team expressed deep gratitude to the community for their trust and support throughout the project's journey. Datachain will continue to develop institutional-grade interoperability infrastructure.
