Kaspa (KAS)

The Quine is a minimal covenant that does only one thing: every time its UTXO is spent, the script forces the exact same covenant code (with identical ID) to be recreated in the new output, or the transaction is rejected by the network.

It’s interesting because it proves Toccata covenants deliver true self-replicating, persistent L1 code that lives indefinitely on-chain with verifiable lineage, using just 1 KAS and running through multiple generations within minutes of activation.

This establishes a foundational primitive for future apps: immutable, autonomous scripts that can’t be altered or terminated, enabling things like perpetual decentralised programs, self-sustaining tokens, or “living” on-chain agents without external upkeep.
