Most DeFi “wins” get written in the soft parts of the cycle, when liquidity is flooding in and basically any protocol can paint the chart green.

Then the last few months hit → liquidity tightened → the training wheels came off.

If there is a protocol that still expanding while the whole arena is shrinking, that’s not the same signal.

That looks less like “market beta” and more like real capital picking a side, a growth phase that isn’t just along for the ride while everything drifts higher.

@sparkfinance so far has been my choice.

It functions as an on-chain capital allocator, pulling from @SkyEcosystem’s stablecoin reserves and deploying across DeFi, CeFi, and RWAs.

For context: total DeFi TVL slid from $97.9B to $76.7B from mid-April to 27 July → a 23.5% drop.

Over that same stretch, Spark went from $3.85B to $4.70B → +16.4%.

The user‑facing layer (sUSDS, spUSDC, spUSDT SparkLend) sits on top of that engine. And the data says the engine attracted capital at the exact moment the rest of the system wa
